About

At Pawssage Canine Therapy, we believe that every dog deserves comfort, mobility, and a life full of tail wags. Our founder, Kim Murphy, has been passionate about canine well-being her whole life, and in 2009 she first earned her certification in canine massage therapy. Inspired by her own two dogs, who struggled with hip injuries and arthritis, Kim discovered the incredible benefits of massage therapy for relieving pain and promoting healing in dogs.

Beneficial for every kind of dog!

Puppies

Massage therapy provides a gentle, nurturing way to support a puppy’s growth and development. It encourages healthy muscle and joint formation, laying the foundation for a strong, flexible body. Beyond the physical benefits, massage helps puppies adapt to human touch, making them more confident during grooming or veterinary visits. It also fosters emotional security by reducing early-life stress and promoting a sense of safety and comfort. For puppies, massage is an essential tool to help them grow into balanced, happy dogs.

Adult Dogs

For adult dogs, massage therapy is a powerful tool to enhance performance and recovery. It helps prevent injuries by improving muscle elasticity and joint range of motion, allowing for smoother, more efficient movement. Regular massage also reduces the buildup of lactic acid, speeding up recovery after intense training or competition. It can target specific muscle groups to address strain or tightness, keeping active dogs at peak physical condition. By optimizing performance and supporting recovery, massage ensures athletic dogs can train and compete at their best.

Senior Dogs

Massage therapy for senior dogs focuses on comfort and maintaining a high quality of life. It stimulates circulation to keep muscles and tissues nourished, even as activity levels decrease. Gentle massage can soothe chronic pain or stiffness, making everyday activities like walking or lying down more manageable. It also improves sleep quality by promoting relaxation and relieving discomfort that might otherwise disturb rest. For senior dogs, massage is a compassionate way to ease the effects of aging and ensure they remain comfortable and content.
